It was suspenseful right from chapter one, and kept me going throughout the entire book. I never wanted to put it down! This book is about the murder of Jim Fate, a radio talk show host who stirred up a lot of controversy and was not afraid to speak his mind about any issues from politics to domestic assaults, which made his talk show #1. But because of his positioning if the issues, he was also a very despised person. But now the question is: Who killed Jim Fate? Was it a co-worker? Or was it a listener that he angered because he didn’t agree with Jim Fate’s ways? That’s what Federal Prosecutor, Allison Pierce, FBI Special Agent Nicole Hedges, and crime reporter Cassidy Shaw team up to piece together. I related to each of their personal lives and respected each of their professions. I thought for sure I knew who the killer was, but this book had so many twists and turns, I didn’t even consider who the actual killer was. I believe this book to be one of the best books I have ever read, rating 5 out of 5 stars. There was never a dull moment, and I finished the book in about three days!

I would like to thank Book Sneeze for providing this book for free in return of my review.

Review: The Carousel Painter by Judith Miller

The Carousel Painter by Judith Miller was a great book! It is about a woman named Carrington (Carrie) who moves near her friend Augusta in Collinsford, Ohio. The book takes place in 1890. When Carrie moves, she knows that she must find a job soon, so that she can make a living. So, being an artist, she asks Augusta’s father if she can be a painter in his carousel factory. He agrees, but it is very tough for Carrie to work there because her fellow workers (who happen to all be men) and their wives are not very accepting of a young girl working at the factory. But worse yet, when Augusta’s mother’s expensive necklace is stolen, Carrie is the one everyone suspects. Will Carrie be able to stop the madness before it’s too late? This is a wonderful story of mystery, love, and determination. It was also a good breath of fresh air to be reading a book that has Christianity in it. Though the story was a little slow for me in the beginning, I’m glad I stuck with it because I defiantly enjoyed the book. I would rate this book 4 out of 5 stars. I enjoyed it! I would like to thank Bethany House for sending me a copy for my review!

Reveiw: Fearless By Max Lucado

I am writing a review on Fearless by Max Lucado.
Fearless is a book about giving your fears to God. I have always felt that fear is a sign of weakness, but this book has helped me understand that giving my fears to God will strengthen my faith in him as well as strengthening the faith I have for myself. God has never turned his back on any of us, but has asked us, as his sheep, to put our trust in him, the shepherd, so that we can be fearless of the unknown circumstances that are planned for our journey here on earth and as a stronger relationship builds between you and God.
For me, it was a very powerful book. It allowed me to understand that fear is not a weakness and everyone comes face to face with fearful situations, but to know that God has spoken through scripture to trust in him. There is comfort in knowing that he is with you in every situation that you have to face. It’s a comforting thought to me that God has given all of us a gift on peace of mind and heart, so we are not to be afraid.
I rated this book a ten out of ten. I went through it so fast. I felt at peace while reading this knowing that God is there to take my fears away from me, so I don’t have to go through it alone. Because of his love for me, he was willing to take on all of my deepest fears from the health of my family to the unknowing certainty of my job. I guarantee that after reading this book, you will be uplifted with the love of God knowing that he is going to walk with you every step of the way, knowing that all of your fears will be lifted onto God’s shoulders, if you choose to trust him and love him with all of your heart and soul. Thank you for reading, and enjoy the book!

A Man of His Word by Kathleen Fuller

A Man of His Word by Kathleen Fuller is a beautiful love story. The main story is about an amish woman named Moriah Byler. Moriah is now happily married Levi. But when Levi leaves her and the amish without turning back, what will she do about the baby? But what she doesn't know is the Gabriel, Levi's twin brother, is deeply, head-over-heals in love with her. Gabriel is a man of his word, unlike his brother, and he will give his heart and soul to Moriah forever. But only if she will let him in.
I love this book and would rate it a ten out of ten. I really like the fact that it shows everyone's side of the story. One chapter is Moriah's thoughts, then the next chapter is the story through Gaberiel's eyes and so on. The reader is the only one who knows the whole story and what everyone is thinking.
I really liked how real the book was. Though it was ficition, it was incredible how realistic everything was. The people in the story are described so well, that they could live next door to me. Although it is a little slow at the beginning, you will soon be hooked!
I would recommend this book to anyone who likes love storys and realistic books. If you don't like that type of thing, I wouldn't recommend it.
Thank you for reading and enjoy the book!

Angie's Book Reviews

Hey everyone!
